Rebecca Kihslinger is a Science and Policy Analyst at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington DC. Dr. Kihslinger has an extensive background in marine research and has published on the effects of hatchery rearing practices on salmon development and the behavior of marine animals including bat rays and steelhead trout. Rebecca’s current work includes developing and preparing supporting documents for an EPA funded wetlands mitigation course for land trusts, coordinating an edited report and symposium on the intersection of conservation biology and land use planning, analyzing state regulatory and non-regulatory wetlands programs for a multi-phase EPA study of state wetlands programs, and coordinating the National Wetlands Awards.Dr. Kihslinger earned a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from University of California, Davis and holds a B.S. in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina.
