Photo taken with permission from Texas Environmental Excellence Award websiteMs. Jones-Lewey, 2004 Education and Outreach Award Winner, is building a new education program -- the Riparian Landowners Information Network -- to bring riparian function workshops to 600 landowners in the Nueces River Basin.

As the resource protection and public education associate of the Nueces River Authority, which was recently named the 2008 winner of the Texas Environmental Excellence Award for education, Lewey continues to address issues of riparian function, invasive species, aquifer decline-springflow decline, and public abuse of wetlands.
