Dr. Martin Main trains his students to be interpretive naturalists in this adult education program.

Fish Friendly Farming Environmental Certification

This certification program, developed by Laurel Marcus and the California Land Stewardship Institute, restores habitat and improves water quality.

Southwest Wetlands Interpretive Association

The San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Mike and Patricia McCoy have restored several sites along the Tijuana River Estuary and helped establish the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Diane Nygaard is currently involved in a watershed management plan for Agua Hedionda, and continues her work at Preserve Calavera.

Dr. Mark Brinson has been researching the effects of rising sea levels on coastal wetlands, as well adeveloping a more rational/economic approach to restoration.

Dr. Roy Gardner's teaching continues to provide him with great resources to use as the North American representative to the Ramsar Scientific and Technical Review panel.

Native tree frogs get a jump on spring - Seattle Times article

Klaus Richter's work has ranged from co-authoring two US Supreme Court Amici Curiae to presenting wetland ecology and regulatory policy seminars.

Study on how recent hurricanes have helped wetlands

Robert Eugene Turner has continued to publish papers and books related to wetland restoration, along with working in wetland mitigation.

Riparian Landowners Information Network

Sky Jones-Lewey and the Nueces River Authority have conducted numerous riparian function workshops for landowners.

Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation

Bruce Mountain's efforts help finance the development and enhancement of wetland complexes in the Prairie Pothole Region and riverine corridors of Iowa.
