Joy B. Zedler

Photo by John KarianSince receiving the 1997 Science Research Award, Dr. Zedler has published 128 peer-reviewed papers in ecological journals, including editing a Handbook for Restoring Tidal Wetlands and co-editing a volume on Foundations of Restoration Ecology.

She continues to examine salt marsh restoration efforts in southern California and invasive species in Midwestern wetlands while working with students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on wetland restoration studies.

Zedler recently produced a series of Arboretum Leaflets on an array of wetland related issues, including invasive species, stormater facilities, climate change, and adaptive restoration.
